In this area I have a few ideas of how to integrate a simple puzzle into the game. First of all there will be a basic countdown that will decrease as one loads the puzzle. The minimum wait will be shortest for weapons, perhaps 1 to 2 seconds, then longer for vehicles, about 3 seconds or so, and 5 seconds for structures. The puzzle itself will be a set of triangles which are rotated six at a time around. The configurations for weapon, vehicle, and structure are as follows (edit 26 Sept 2012, the puzzle sizes will need to be increased from these pictures)
.
The Weapon puzzle will be the easiest to show this concept in as there are only 3 points where rotations can occur. By clicking on the intersection with the left mouse button it will rotate left, right mouse button for turning right. The item will only function so long that lines which will be painted across them connect to termination point of circuitry. If the lines are connected properly then the termination points will light up. In the actual puzzle there will be the possibility of all three colors to be located in a single triangle, though no color will be able to be used in a triangle more than once.
One possibility that this simple puzzle design presents is the ability to level up hacking from a mobile phone or browser. In this way if a person finds themselves with a few minutes of free time but no computer to connect to the game they could still practice the puzzle to get faster at it and that practice could translate into experience.
