I'm a disabled veteran named Dave who has a simple dream of creating a clean, family friendly video game experience that I can share with my children. I have a wife and four lovely children. I am also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (commonly referred to as Mormon though that is not an official name). I enjoy the adrenaline of combat found in first person shooter games, but I feel that the ultra realism and extreme violence that seems to be the trend in these games is unnecessary and has been done many times over. I fully expect to have to make every part of this game and to that end I plan on going back to college, yet if I could get this turned into an open source project or at minimum a collaborative effort I would welcome anything people feel that they are willing to offer. I know that making a video game is no small feat and I also understand that I have set a rather ambitious goal, so please don't be critical of my effort or the fact that this will take years before it becomes a reality. I openly welcome whatever feedback people wish to give, and lets hope that this ends in success.
Oh, and a little side note this blog is where I will be kicking around ideas, thinking through problems, and generally describing the process of what I'm going to do. Please don't expect it to always make sense, and it is definitely not written in stone.
